Well done on your first post, you're a star. I really like how you mentioned Maui capturing a fish with a jawbone. Did you know that it wasn't just any jawbone, but his grandmothers? He used it to catch the North Island of Aotearoa, and also in another story he used it to beat the sun... which isn't very nice, but interesting mythology. On that note, Maui actually isn't only Māori. He exists in all of Polynesian mythology, for example in the movie Moana, he's actually Hawaiian. Do you know if he exists in Tongan mythology? I'm really impressed that you went beyond what was asked of you and gave us 2 more interesting facts.

Fantastic work on your first post. Loving the images you have to go with your facts. Maui is indeed a great fisherman! Have you ever been fishing before?
Looking forward to reading more of your blog posts!
Mālō 'etau lava Kelly!
